of the Tx panel feedthrough probe

Neoptix's Neoptix’s Tx model panel feedthrough fiber optic temperature probe has been specifically designed for monitoring temperature through panel or tank walls.

The Tx optical temperature probe can be used to monitor in a variety of application such as monitoring inside temperatures in a batch manufacturing vessel or to sense the exterior temperature through the wall of a NEMA enclosure in a transformer hot-spot monitoring system. In the later case, the robust Tx panel feedthrough temperature probe serves as a permanent sensor that mates with Neoptix’ T/Guard and T/Guard+ transformer hot-spot monitoring systems. The probe uses one of the available optical channels on the signal conditioner to read and send the outside temperature over the system’s communication link, using MODBUS or serial communication.

The Tx probe is a stand-alone item that has a built-in ST connector for quick and simple installation: install the Tx probe, connect the optical extension cable to any of Neoptix fiber signal conditioners and to the probe and the system is ready to sense the temperature. The Tx probe requires no calibration or complex gage factor to operate to its full potential.

The Tx panel feedthrough probe has a metric (ISO 261) hex cap bolt and is made of stainless steel 316. The threaded section is a standard M8-1.25 mm pitch configuration. The Tx comes with a probe length of 1 cm. It can also be ordered with a probe section length of up to 25 cm.

The Tx comes standard with a Viton O-ring, ensuring a perfect seal for years to come; Other types of O’rings are available to suit customer specific applications. The Tx probe can be mounted on panel with a thickness ranging from 1 to 4 mm.

The Neoptix Tx temperature probe provides a long-term leak-free interface and requires absolutely no maintenance. Its operating temperature ranges from minus 80 to 250 Degrees Celsius and can be withstand a pressure of up to 7 bar (100 PSI).

Neoptix Tx panel feedthrough optical probe perfectly mates with all of our signal conditioners including the handheld Nomad™, our T/Guard™ and T/Guard+™ systems as well as our Reflex™ and OmniFlex ™ fiber optic signal conditioners. The probe is delivered with a NIST traceable Calibration Certificate and standard length probes are covered by our “48 Hours Turn-around Guarantee”.
